Last week, the Registrar of the Collections Authority received a request, from a debtor, to repeal the Stay of Exist ruling that was filed against him, and heavily criticized Discount Bank, that attached a warning to an address in Tel Aviv, knowing that the debtor hasn't lived there in years.
Since the year 2,000, the debtor has been living in Austria, while visiting in Israel from time to time. In 2,010, Discount Bank filed a case against him with the Collections Authority, to execute a verdict handed down against him in absentia that same year, dealing with a sum of hundreds of thousands of Shekels. Last year, in addition, a stay of exist order was issued against him.
